Staffed station, booked by the hour

Henna Station

A henna artist with natural paste: full bridal hands for the guest of honor, quick traditional and modern designs for everyone else.

What goes wrong with henna at a party

Henna is slow work and a party is not. The usual mistake is one artist, one long design and forty guests, so the guest of honor waits behind a line, or the line waits behind the guest of honor. Either way somebody leaves without a design.

The second mistake is the paste. Anything stale or mixed from a tube that has sat in a bag will not hold a fine line, and it shows in the first minute.

How our henna station runs

We send a henna artist who works with natural paste and an eye for detail. The guest of honor is seated first and gets the long session: full bridal hands, drawn without hurry, with room for the pattern to be finished properly.

Everyone else gets the quick version. Traditional and modern designs take a short sitting, and the artist can add guest bangles and delicate accents around a wrist or finger. The paste needs time to set, so we keep the table where guests can sit and rest their hands.

Pairing it and booking it

The henna station is booked by the hour, which lets you give the bride or guest of honor a proper window and then open the table to the room. It pairs naturally with face painting and balloon twisting for a mixed-age party, and with cotton candy for the sweet side.

Henna fits bridal showers and milestone birthdays especially well. Book three to four weeks ahead and send the date. Your complimentary, itemized quote is usually back within one business day, with no deposit needed to receive it.

One artist, natural paste, and a booking window you set by the hour.

Two sittings at one table

The guest of honor

Full bridal hands, drawn slowly with natural paste while the party carries on around her. This is the sitting that gets the first slot, the best light and the artist's full attention.

Tell us who the design is for and what the occasion is, and we plan the booking window around the long session instead of squeezing it in.

Everyone else

Quick traditional and modern designs, guest bangles and delicate accents. A short sitting each, so the table keeps moving and nobody who wanted one goes home without.
